Pastor Avery Foster Sr

Pastor Avery Foster, Sr has been inspiring the community of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ since its inception. He is considered one of the most distinguished figures in our church, and is committed to providing members of the congregation with religious guidance.

Pastor Foster has been married to First Lady Ma Tina Foster for 52 years, and is the father of Avery Jr Foster 3rd, Alonza Foster, and Avery Foster IV. He started his ministry as an evangelist in Wake County, North Carolina, over 35 years ago.

During that time, Pastor Foster did not have a congregation of his own, but as he started ministering, members began to follow him. One of these followers was Minister William Joyner, who has worked in the ministry with Pastor Foster as a partner for over 30 years. Together with the help of several other members, they decided to build a church. Which is now what we call the Fellowship Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Foste is known for his boldness and courage when preaching the Gospel. He is unapologetic when it comes to setting high expectations on what it means to be saved and holy.

Ma Tina Foster

Mrs. Tina Foster, also known as Ma Tina Foster, is the wife of Pastor Avery Foster Sr. They have been married for over 55 years as of 2019. Ma Tina has been a strong supporter of her husband in all his endeavors and has been an inspiration to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ community since its inception. In fact, she was Pastor Avery Foster's first member.

Over the years, Ma Tina has become a vital part of the church in many ways. She led a group of sisters in the early days of the church called "The Sisters of Faith," who raised funds to help build the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ on Auburn Church Road in Garner, NC. The Sisters of Faith organized yard sales and fundraisers to keep the services going.

Ma Tina is known as the "Mother of the Church." She has not only carried the title but has also been a mother to many church members, praying, encouraging, correcting, and advising them. As the wife of a pastor for over 50 years, she has set an example for every woman on how to treat their husbands and take care of their homes.

Ma Tina is considered one of the most distinguished figures in our church, and she always will be. She is the wife of Pastor Avery Foster Sr. and the mother of Minister Joshua Avery IV, Avery Foster III, and Alonza Foster.
